Armadale Castle Gardens and Museum of the Isles is set in the heart of a 20,000 acre Highland estate.
This estate, once part of the traditional lands of Clan Donald, was purchased by the Clan Donald Lands Trust in 1971.
The Trust has restored the gardens and part of the Castle, created the Museum of the Isles, founded the Study Centre, built holiday accommodation and established a visitor centre that appeals to all age groups.
Armadale has in the stables a licensed restaurant and shop with mail order facilities. The centre also invites membership of the Clan Donald Lands Trust.
Disabled facilities are available at the centre.
Throughout the season we hold various events at the centre and dates and details can be found by following the Armadale Events link.
Armadale offers an exceptional setting for your wedding day on the romantic Isle of Skye.
Your Civil or Religious Wedding Ceremony can be solemnised in the Sculptured Ruin of Armadale Castle or in the Somerled Rooms, the original building at Armadale Castle, circa 1790, with the gardens as an outstanding backdrop for your photographs. Our licensed Stables Restaurant caters for seventy guests and a further forty evening guests. If you are planning a larger wedding we allow marquee. Your champagne reception after the ceremony can be held in the Somerled Rooms with an evening banquet in the Stables Restaurant.
Two four-wheel electric wheelchairs are available for visitors to borrow - please ask when you buy your ticket or ring the Centre to book in advance. There is no entry charge for a carer accompanying a disabled individual.
There is an English language audio guide to the Museum for the visually impaired.
One of the self-catering cottages has a ramp and is suitable, with assistance, for people with wheelchairs.

Forty acres of exotic trees, shrubs and flowers are remarkable for their beauty and their very existence.
The warm, generally frost-free, climate of the west coast of Scotland - a result of the Gulf Stream - and the work of our professional staff, allow the sheltered gardens to flourish.
Six log cottages, the traditional stone built Foresters Cottage and a luxury Suite in the Stables building are available for self-catering all year round. Late booking discounts available.
