Lord Macdonald resumes position on Clan Donald Lands Trust board
The Board of Trustees of Clan Donald Lands Trust is delighted to announce that the Right Honourable Godfrey James Macdonald of Macdonald, 8th Lord Macdonald and 34th High Chief, has resumed his hereditary position as a Trustee. The Estate of over 20,000 acres, the old castle, the gardens and the Museum of the Isles, is the Spiritual Home of Clan Donald.
The Trust, a not-for-profit charity, is dedicated to promoting the history, culture and traditions of Clan Donald and the associated Clans and families that lived in the Lordship of the Isles, an independent Lordship that ruled most of western and northern Scotland for over 400 years.
Lord Macdonald joined the Board of Trustees on 1 January 2018.
