The Armadale Castle, Gardens & Museum of the Isles Estate provides numerous options to filmmakers including rugged landscape with spectacular views, ancient native woodlands, unique geological formations, elegant formal gardens and gothic ruins.

BBC Scotland’s prestigious series “A History of Scotland” utilised the backdrop of Armadale Castle.

“Seachd: The Inaccessible Pinnacle”, the first feature-length Gaelic film, was filmed on many locations from the Estate.
